Experience -
You’ll be constantly impressed with the atmosphere, the food, and who you run into. Very metro, sleek, and styled for a larger city – but we have it.
Known For -
One of our favorite places to go, Fahrenheit offers fine dining in one of the most modern and elegant spaces in Washington, D.C.
Location -
In the Georgetown Ritz, the bar is called Degrees and the Restaurant is called Fahrenheit. The restaurant offers easy valet parking and several nearby garages. Go with the valet.
Scene Factor -
Frequented by the Georgetown set, as well as international city dweller that need their fix for metro living and the ‘intrigue factor.’ The bar and restaurant play host to many celebrities and the in-crowd, especially in the fall and winter.
Service -
An amazingly professional staff with memory for your individual taste and drink. Tables elegantly spaced apart, and of course Victor, our very discrete waiter - he is a must.
Visual -
Quiet, civilized, and uncluttered. A soothing ambiance sets the mood for conversation and possible introductions. Whenever we miss the NYC’s hotel bar scene, we head straight to Degrees; and whenever we want to experience gracious dining straight to Fahrenheit. With exposed brick throughout the building and a clientele of beautiful people, we soak in the atmosphere and dine at table 11 or 44.
Favorite Dishes –
Any hook and line fish dish will be excellent. An adventurous chef, the menu has frequent changes so there is always something new to try each season. We order the grilled octopus, Maryland crab cakes, and the filet mignon.
Wine -
Many of our favorite are stocked. The staff is knowledgeable, and make wonderful suggestions to go with anything you are having.
How Often We Dine There –
We dine at least once a month, usually on a Friday night. If we have guests staying in town who are over the tourist part of the Washington, it’s a must. |
